Comic-Con is underway, which means there is a ton of exciting news for you to digest. Some new games have been revealed, others now have official release dates, and the creators of some of the year’s most highly-anticipated titles have spilled further details and information to further whet our appetites. Let’s get to it!

Ouya, the proposed Android-based free-to-play gaming console, has taken the gaming world by storm, and the system has generated nearly $ 4.5 million dollars in funding.
Retail sales of games continued their precipitous decline as NPD reported that sales were down 29 percent in June compared to last year.
I played Macbeth in a play in elementary school, so I’m not sure what this means for me, but researchers at the University of Luxembourg claim that players who play violent games suffer from the “Macbeth Effect”, a “psychological phenomenon in which a person attempts to purify oneself in order to cope with feelings of moral distress.”
Many gamers complain about companies essentially releasing a new version of the same game year after year (cough* Activision * cough), but according to research done by Nielsen, gamers want more of the same.
For the first time, the public was able to test out Assassin’s Creed III’s multiplayer, including two new modes called Domination and Wolfpack, which is a co-op mode. Those aren’t the only new features, however, as Ubisoft has added more social features like clan tags and a ladder system as well as making characters customizable.
