Install ParanoidAndroid ROM for Nexus 10 – offers hybrid UI

The below guide will walk you through how to install ParanoidAndroid ROM on Nexus 10 tablet, your tablet bootloader must be unlocked with a custom recovery installed, you can follow our this guide to unlock bootloader, this guide to install ClockworkMod custom recovery and this guide to install TWRP custom recovery. Back up everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so.

Instructions Step #2: Transfer both downloaded files to your tablet.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons, first you’ll enter in fastboot mode, there select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again. If you’re on TWRP recovery, select backup and slide to blue to button to confirm action.

Step #6: Perform wipe, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen, once it done, select Wipe Cache Partition and confirm on next screen, lastly go to main menu, select Advanced , then select Wipe Dalvik Cache and confirm the action. If you’re on TWRP, select wipe, then select factory reset, and confirm it, also wipe Select Wipe Cache Partition and Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache.

Step #8: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.

Step #9: Once again repeat the previous step and install the Google Apps package in the same manner.

Step #10: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot the tablet.

That’s it, enjoy the ParanoidAndroid ROM on your Nexus 10, don’t system apps, system data and Google apps, because you may face bootloops and other problems if you do so due to mismatches coming from CM to AOSP and moving from Android version 4.1.2 to 4.2. If you experience any error, do comment.
