Question by Sky: Is rooting a phone illegal?
I want to install froyo in to my android, but i’m not sure if all this hacking is illegal. should i just wait until android 2.2 comes out or should i just hack my new phone?

It violates your Terms of Use Conditions, which you technically agree to by having the device in your possession and using it. It’s of questionable legality, but I’ve never heard of anybody actually getting penalized by law because of it.
