Unfortunately, in the process of making these laptops double as tablets, neither Dell nor Acer quite nailed the ergonomics. With the XPS 12, the problems are weight and size. Despite a pair of rubber bumpers on the back which give it some grip, I found the XPS 12 too chunky and weighty to hold in one hand for long, and even with two I felt inclined to prop my elbows up on a surface.
