Question by Exclamation: Way to get free apps on HTC legend?
I kind of mean like Jailbreaking an iPhone or iPod touch. My phone is on Android, is there anyway to do the same type of thing.

On your phone, go to settings, applications, then check “allow download from unknown sources” or something like that
Then go to your browser and type in. 4shared.com, search up almost any paid app you want and it will be there. eg. for rom manager it would be something like rom-manage-v2.0.5.7.apk
click on the link and you have to wait 20 seconds, then you click download and when you roll down your notifications you will see that the app is downloading, after it has completed downloading click on it and it will prompt u to install. do so and you have the app 
ALLL android apps are in the .apk format so when you see that you know that the app is meant for an android phone.
Another way is to use 4shared and search for “applanet” do the same as above. This is an app like the android market but..everything there is free, the problem with that application is that sometimes the app does not work
